Glyn Maier - After The Deluge (Enmossed)
When Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina in September of 2024, it left Glyn Maier’s rural community without power for a month. To process the experience, Maier was left only with his field recorder—which, luckily, had plenty of spare batteries. During that month, he recorded the aftermath of the storm, which had caused extreme flooding and wind damage. Only when the electricity came back on could he use these recordings to make music about the event.

Michael Vallera is from a different generation and came of age in a world where players like Loren, Ellliot, Keith Rowe and Derek Bailey had already blown apart any and all notions of the guitar's limitations.
